Testimonials

We take pride in providing a meaningful, people-first service to everyone. Read what some of our participants, therapists, instructors, PGA Professionals, volunteers and clients have said about us and adaptive golf!

  • "It’s impossible to really describe in words just how much this has positively impacted my life, my health, and my healing. I have found new friends, renewed motivation to walk, and a new sense of belonging to the “normal world” again."

    Al Landers, Above Knee Amputee
    Weekly Adaptive Golf Participant

  • "The excitement, pride and comradeship exhibited by each member is a tribute to David, his staff and their dedication to this cause. Thank you David for your efforts toward the American Veteran, as we are honored to be associated with you as our mentor as well as a true friend.  Thank you for making a difference in many lives in the Tampa Bay area."

Robert West, Amputee VA Support Team
    American Veterans Adaptive Golf

  • "It is clear that through your guidance and unselfish dedication to teach the many benefits that lie beyond the game itself, that Adaptive Golf has become a driving force in the rehabilitation process for which veterans, military personnel and others with disabilities can develop skills which they thought were beyond their capabilities. Working with our injured and disabled veterans as well as other challenged individuals has definitely been a highlight of my PGA Professional career."

    Ken Juhn, PGA Professional
    American Veterans Adaptive Golf Instructor

  • "At the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL, our active duty soldiers and veterans who face physical challenges or complicated barriers with their PTSD, depression, and/or traumatic brain injuries, are encouraged to reach functional independence so they can get back to their lives.….of all recreational activities, we favor the adaptive golf experience the most as it introduces the concept to help our patients maximize their new potentials…..with adaptive golf, this process of recovery is self initiated."

    Kathryn Bryant, CTRS
    J. A. Haley VA Hospital

  • "I was so happy to be able to see the joy that one particular student was experiencing, after 9 years of a limiting life, which had been so depressing to him. That day he said to me, "Jackie, you made my day!"  What a fabulous feeling it is to give of oneself to help another. I love the program and what it is all about."

    Jacqueline Anderson, retired nurse
    Volunteer Adaptive Golf Instructor

Core Values of the Game
During the “on-course” portion of an adaptive golf session, participants have the opportunity to learn about USGA rules, proper etiquette, pace of play, team-oriented playing formats, proper club selection and course strategies.  These lessons require participants to use life skills such as judgment for decision-making, courtesy, honesty, and sportsmanship, making any Adaptive Golf program an all-inclusive program to be used as a model for any organization, group or facility. From every aspect, physically, mentally, socially and emotionally, we’ve seen how adaptive golf can make a difference.
 David Windsor, AGA

"Adaptive golf has been significantly helpful in getting me thinking and speaking more positively which has carried over into my everyday life."
